Stade Lausanne welcomes all new players regardless of their level of experience, age or skill.
The club is truly international with no one dominant nationality, we have players from Switzerland, France, England, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Wales, Ireland, Argentina, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and more... French and English are spoken at trainings and on the field.
To join, all you need to do is come down to training and present yourself. Trainings are held on Monday and Wednesday night at 19:45; see Training page for full details. If you have an queries, contact our coach Andy Whitlow by email, email@example.com.
In order to play you will need to be licenced with the Swiss Federation of Rugby. If you are currently licensed with another team in Switzerland or in another country you will need an 'exit letter' from your previous club. We only licence players once they have attended three training sessions. Fees are 250 CHF per year - see Fees page for full details.
Jersey - these are provided by the club before each match. It is then picked up and washed after the game.
Socks and shorts - can be purchased from the club for 20 CHF each.
Boots - molded or studded boots are both permitted.
Mouth guard - highly recommended. They can be purchased in most sports stores in the area, try Oeschner Sport.
Headgear and other protection - these items are not sold in Switzerland. Sports stores in neighbouring France might have stock otherwise they can be ordered online.
