Stade Lausanne welcomes all new players regardless of their level of experience, age or skill.
The club is truly international with no one dominant nationality, we have players from Switzerland, France, England, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Wales, Ireland, Argentina, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and more... French and English are spoken at trainings and on the field.
To join, all you need to do is come down to training and present yourself. Trainings are held on Monday and Wedneday night at 19:45; see Training page for full details. If you have an queries, contact our coach Andy Whitlow by email, info@stadelausannerugby.ch.
In order play you will need to be licenced with the Swiss Federation of Rugby. If you are currently licensed with another team in Switzerland in another country you will need an 'exit letter' from your previous club. We only licence players once they have attended three training seesions. Fees are 250 CHF per year - see Fees page for full details.
Jersey - these are provided by the club before each match. They are then picked up and washed after the game
Socks and shorts - can be purchased from the club for 20 CHF
Boots - moulded or studded boots are both permitted
Mouth guard - highly recommended. They can be purchased in most sports stores in the area, try Oeschner Sport
Headgear and other protection - these items are not sold in Switzerland. Sports stores in neighbouring France might have stock otherwise they can be ordered online

The Stade second team took care of Solothurn in emphatic style last Saturday, June 26, winning 79-0. This victory sees Stade 2 promoted into National League C for the 10/11 season where they hope to continue their unbeaten run. The Stadists have completed a faultless year dominating all competition.
Stade Lausanne will face Zurich in the final of the Swiss Cup after narrowly defeating a pugnacious Avusy 20-15 on Saturday. In what was another nail-biting finish, a last-minute Matt Fendick try ensured Stade's place at the Samarach Stadium on July 3rd.
Stade Lausanne RC will again be hosting the the finals of the Swiss Cup and Super Sevens tournament in Vidy. If last year was anything to go on, it should be an exciting and fun day out. We encourage all supporters, friends and familly to come down and get behind the Club.
